My grandmother made amazing food. For the holidays, she would make fresh fish.
When I say fresh, I mean really fresh. So fresh that she would buy the fish live, and then store them in her bathtub until she was ready to use them. Which was a great idea until someone needed to use the bathroom and hadn’t been warned.
My grandmother passed away a long, long time ago, and we have since developed new family holiday traditions that don’t include live fish. However, we still get together, have wonderful food, but we can also be found wearing crazy outfits, some crazier than others, and just enjoying each other’s company.
What is your family tradition? Does it include a holiday party? Speaking of parties, click here for the dos and don’ts of workplace holiday parties.
